I was tickled pink when Card Creations plus asked me to work with the Pets in a Mess CD rom, It is packed full of so many characters which had their own personality I had a beano playing with the software.
These samples were made for today’s shows on Create & Craft Tv
If you missed the shows you can watch them from here…. 8am show & 2pm show
Its a cd rom you will be able to find something for everybody & with all the colour changing options in the colour mode you could even have a purple dog!
Here are my Samples…….
Colouring book.. here I made an A4 size book & using Image composer I used the coloured in images for a front cover & then for the inside of the colouring book I changed to Mono & put together scened with wording to suit the picture to make a colouring book & used my Cinch machine to bind the book. I then decorated the cinch wires using scraps of ribbon.
My next sample was an A4 sized childs card with a colouring book on the front & inside the book I left some pages blank & then used the Mono mode again to create some pages the child could colour in & then I added a pocket to the front to hold some coloured pencils. The weight of the front of the card was heavier than the back so to compromise I added another piece of the red card I had at the front of the card to the inside printed on card for the sentiment so it balanced the whole card back again.
This sample is a box of 10 cards with inserts & envelopes. I printed the box using images composer on the cd rom & made the box to fit everything inside.
My final sample was a simple C5 card that I used pyramge to decorate the front with.
In all I had a fun times creating the samples & it is fantastic to see my makes on Create & Craft TV with Kathryn & I am sooooooo excited with the new products Card Creations Plus is bringing out next but its all HUSH HUSH so my lips are sealed until I am allowed to say anything 🙂
Happy Crafting Sarahjayne xxx
I am soooooo glad I held of decorating our Lounge until after Christmas as part of our ceiling came down!
I was a little shocked to come home & see it on the floor! The builders came & said rather than patching it up, they would be better putting in a whole new ceiling! So a full new ceiling it was. Emptying the lounge of all the furniture & carpet wasn’t a lot of fun but it did mean I would get a nice flat ceiling & could finally decorate after they had finished. The builders only took a day ripping down the ceiling & they even cleaned up after themselves 🙂 Doing the struts & plasterboard took a couple of days & then the plasterer did a fabulous finish all ready to dry out so I could paint it.
The builders finally packed up on Friday afternoon & then on Monday they came back to fit a new ceiling rose & was shocked to see we had finished decorating it. He asked if changing rooms had been in 🙂 The wallpaper! Ohhhhh I LOVE the wallpaper, I bought it last year as I was going to decorate before Christmas but with many last orders coming in we had to postpone but it has a golden shimmer & gold glitter flakes in it. It was a bit of a pain having a messy house for a week but panic is over & house is nice & clean again.
I had to seal of my sewing room as currently its the room off the lounge & I didn’t want the dust getting in there with my machines so I didn’t get to sew that week instead I got to go up to the shop with my hubby & spruce it up.
It was lovely walking in & seeing it & with it being stock empty we have had a full change round & put the new furniture in, my final furniture delivery should be coming tomorrow. So we will probably go up & install the final unit next week. I only had 1 box of stock from when I closed it last year so while it was the closed season I started making lots of new goodies to fill it with & can not wait to share them but for now I’m keeping them under wraps & only sharing a few things over social media 🙂
Here are today’s makes……….
Its been such a long time since I have played with Templates I thought I would get my Mojo flowing & make a few cards. It didn’t take long to make one so I made 7! Each one is different & so pretty.
Here are also a few quick cards I also made today. Now to go & see what I fancy making tomorrow 🙂

I can not believe its Christmas Day next week! I usually put my tree up on the 1st December but with fairs & orders I only got to put mine up on Friday last week! . My baby Granddaugher has still not pulled the tree over which I am quite thankful for & my older grandchildren spend ages looking at the tree & hunting out the Disney Grolier decorations & trying to find the 3 new ones that I buy each year & of course hunting for the chocolates! It will be their last Christmas with me this year with them moving house so I am making sure its a Christmas that they will remember with lots of fun, laughter & love. Grandchildren are for spoiling & I do love to spoil mine, it does get harder each year trying to choose gifts as they do have overstocked bedrooms but with them moving out the two older children were given 2 banana boxes each to fill with toys they wanted to donate to charity & between them they filled 7 in total so their toys will be helping a charity raise some well needed funds.
I am a little tired this morning as I was up until 2.30am this morning finishing the last orders in my book & they will all be posted out today and my Design Team work is all done up until February so I can relax & play 🙂
I have written my Christmas list & really hoping the new craft I have asked for will be a little easier than it looks but I do love trying out lots of crafts so this one will certainly not be for the faint hearted & certainly will be a challenge but I can not wait to get stuck in & have a go.
I am already preparing for the new year & filling up boxes for the shop & looking forward to sharing all my new handmade items but for now I am going to sew a little less, Felt a little more & get ready to take over the new craft rooms!
Today I will be icing the Christmas cake which I will say I am getting pretty good at! I have always loved to cook & bake but when it comes to icing its usually drizzled on icing or a Xmas cake has the child effect of royal icing with a knife patted over it to look like snow peaks! But I have kept up with the Icing lessons & can roll out my own icing & add to the cake like you would buy in a shop which I never thought I would be able to do. I can then pipe all the fancy bits & maybe have a go at making Iced Xmas decorations for it. I am also going to start packing boxes of crafts I won’t use until after the move & hopefully fill some boxes up myself for charity, I have so much craft that is left getting dusty it will be a relief to part with some more of it. I will just be having a skeleton craft stash from the bottom craft room until the new year as I am moving both my downstairs craft rooms to fill the upstairs bedrooms so all will have the full upstairs all to myself 🙂 The bottom craft room will then become my new hobby room as its quite a messy craft I have chosen & with it being tiled floor & large work area it will be easy to sweep up afterwards and ready to use Christmas day. The other spare rooms will have to have some thought at what to do with them but I am liking the idea of either a Library or cinema room & the smaller room maybe a gym & then the larger room can be a double guest room.
Well thats me signing off until the new year, I am busy busy, super excited and ready to start packing & then icing.
I hope Santa put you on the nice list & brings you something you deserve, I wish that you are with your friends & family this Christmas & all your dreams come true. Happy Christmas all xx
I have made my 1st DT card for World Wide Open Design Team using a gorgeous image from Julia Spiri called The Snow Fairy
I printed Julia’s Image on to Neenah card stock & I used Spectrum Noir pencils with the colours being 62,64,67,71,6,7,8,86,104,110 & cut the image out with a Marianne Die.
I then used a die to cut the card base out also on Neenah card & also used the die on backing papers from my stash.
The paper was glued with all purpose glue & embellishments added using Collall 3d gel
I would love you to come & play along at World Wide Open Design team Challenge this month. The challenge themes are always anything goes & you have to be on a Design Team to join in. I look forward to seeing your entries.

I feel so blessed to of been asked to work with Card Creations plus to design some samples for their new Crafting cd & USB Cute Woodland Critters.
It was released today & looking to be a sell out!
Its a fabulous interactive programme so you can really have a play with the software images or print out ready made ones if you wanted to.
If your lucky you may still be able to buy one!
You can watch the catch up show here with all the teams samples & Kathryn showing you her demos.
Here are the samples I made for them xxx
The Calendar was lots of fun to work with as all the dates are their & you can add pictures from the USB or even add your own image. You could really go to town & personalise it to add everybody’s birthdays & special dates so you never forget. I was tickled pink Nigel May picked it up & Kathryn said on air that I was the designer 🙂
I also made a stepper card, Picture box frame, Door sign, Large A4 card with small yearly calendar, 8×8 Pyramage card & small 6×6 square card.
Over all its been a busy week but I have enjoyed every minute of it xxx
