I have been under the weather with a horrid head cold & razor blade throat, so I have been staying home to make sure I do not pass my nasty bug onto others.
I have a craft fair this Saturday & getting ready for it has been lots of fun even though I have slept a lot to get power naps I think the worst of the bug is over & buttercup syrup, TCP & throat soothers will get me through the rest of it.
I love these houses as you add a battery tealight candle & insert underneath so that they glow up in the evening & the child can watch the flickering light whilst waiting for the fairie or gnome to come home.
The Fairy finger puppets will be up in flames later on this afternoon so that I can update my records & sell them as CE tested.
Back to the sewing & embroider machine for me & I am hoping not to have to grab a power nap as time is running out with only a few days left for my next craft fair. I know I always take to much but I have a large event coming up & I have been talking to a couple of stall holders that do the event every year & they say with what I usually make I’m going to need three times as much if not more than I usually take with me. Only time will tell as the stall was a hefty price but I am told I will end up going back year after year.

This is the 4th item I have ever made using Merino wool.
The 1st item was a framed picture which I sold at my 1st craft fair 2 years ago & the 2nd was a light up fairy house & the 4th an owl which sold a few weeks ago.
I decided it was time to get the needle felting supplies out & play again.
She was fast & easy to make, I enjoyed making her so much I’m now going to do a full range of them with different designs & colours & hopefully I will get better & better at making them🙂
This beautiful PRINCESS ANGEL is made from the highest quality merino wool. She has a diamante & pearl studded dress & wings, long blonde hair, ,tiara, necklace & is ready to help decorate a tree carrying a miniature bauble.
She has the option to be made into a tree topper, hanging Angel or be a delightful addition as a shelf sitter in a bedroom. This item is not a toy.

I started week 1 of Crafters Companion Colourista FREE colouring course.
I sat for 2 hours colouring the A4 page & cut 3 of the flowers out to make a card using a Scruffy Little Cat card that I coloured a couple of weeks ago.
To join in the Colourista fun head over to Crafters Companion to sign up where they will email you your course so you can sit, relax & enjoy.
I used Neenah Card stock for the Scruffy Little Cat stamp & glad I left a lot of white space around the stamp as I did when I first stamped her I would die cut her out but when I coloured the flowers I decided a simple design would go better so I cut the image into a 5 x 5 square then added a black coloured card behind & then added to a 6×6 card base.
The stamp & flowers were coloured using Spectrum Noir pens & Pencils
The glue I used was Collall 3d Gel & All Purpose glue.

Over the moon is an understatement!
After 2 years of deciding did I want one or did I need one I finally gave in & though its to good a price to miss so bought one!
All the accessories arrived 1st & I was pretty glad as I don’t like to open new machines for a while! ( New Brother sewing machine took 2 weeks to take out the box! ) So it gave me time to read the books & look at the accessories & then the next day on my way to work the parcel man stopped me down the narrow lane & handed me my new toy!
Its a 35 minute drive to work & all I could think about was do I leave it in the car or do I take it into work & try! I took it into work, opened the box & took the new machine out! I then tried to plug the power lead into the screw fitting! I did manage to plug the machine in correctly & turn it on🙂 I was then I was lost!!! I decided pack it all into the box & have a play at home when I wasn’t so busy.
A few days later I decided to give it a go & tried cut out a coloured stamp but I couldn’t get it do do so many fiddly bits so I then cut out a non coloured stamp right on the line which I thought was AMAZING! Then I tried with a 1 mm border & again a huge WOW from me!
It then sat on my dining room table whilst I decided what I wanted to cut! I knew I wanted Scottish Animals so I got researching how to design my own files. I tried it with a rabbit I drew and cut the rabbit shape out but when it came to the inside I had drawn it to close so the basic outline was great but the inside wasn’t so back to the drawing board!
Yesterday I drew a Deer, I love Deer as I see them all the time & its the only animal I don’t encourage into my garden or the hunters would get them. The 1st deer I cut I had put a line where I shouldn’t off but it only took me a couple of minutes to adjust it & then cut it again. I was tickled pink it worked, this is the outline of the card shape which I cut direct onto the card I had cut & folded & the inside of the Deer I will make another card with it as its not just a blank shape xxx
Its been so long since my last post so here is little of what I have been up to since then to now xx
Machine Embroidered Pictures
1 card! Yep just 1
Colouring! OMG I missed it so much & forgot how much until I wanted to take my pens to work & had a play. I will eventually make them into cards but for now I have spent 2 days cleaning my craft room & still cleaning it! Its been abandoned for so long, things have just been getting piled up so I am now making space on the floor & desks🙂
I think its worse as I now have 2 craft rooms, one for sewing which I am not even going to look at cleaning that one until this one is finished & I can find things again.
I have been playing catch up trying to sew out so much for the shop to keep up with sales & had to buy a 2nd Embroidery machine so I could use one at work to use 10am till 4.30 & then come home & use the new one until 11pm at night but now the season is coming to an end I can relax & play with what I want to & carry on making more handmade items to stock pile for the shop opening next March in my own leisure.
I have 5 confirmed craft fairs running up to Christmas so I have been making some lovely seasonal items & then I have the Masons Christmas ball to prepare for & also 2 shops which are selling the fairy houses, so I now have my Daughter sewing them out as well to make sure the orders are sent out on time.
I have also been invited to be a guest speaker🙂 Shocked but made up. A customer came into the shop & I was just chatting away with her about craft & then she came back to speak to me about appearing as their guest speaker🙂 I received my invite last week so I need to crack on & get the acceptance letter sent out, it is not until early next year but I need to prepare a craft lesson for the ladies & get some goodies to take along as they have asked me to bring a sale table.
I LOVE keeping busy & even though I love going to the shop to work its also nice when Im home as I can catch up with housework, Ebay listings, designing for the embroidery machine. I don’t do sitting & relaxing in front of the TV my down time is putting a dvd on the computer & creating! I relax when i sleep🙂
Have a great week all xxx
I made this card for my Daughters 21st Birthday on Monday
The card stock base was made using Neenah card as I wanted it to be able to hold the weight of the embellishments & find pre folded pack cards are a little flimsy.
The image was stamped also onto Neenah card & coloured using Spectrum Noir pens for the skin & distress markers for the rest.
The dies include Marianne, Joanna Sheen & Crafters Companion.
All stuck down using Collall 3d gel & all purpose glue.
Clear wink of stella added to various places on Tilda stamp
All the embellishments were added using collall 3d gel & ends of ribbon using Collall all purpose glue. (I need shares in Collall as i’m sure i’m its best customer!) Nothing worse than spending your time making a card to see it all fall apart within a week using bad glue! with Collall its there to stay the way you wanted it to🙂

Double Easel Card
I needed to have a play with some of my old stamps as I haven’t stamped for what seems like forever!
I stamped the image onto Neenah card stock & then coloured the Tilda image in using Spectrum Noir pens for the face. arms & legs & then distress inks for the rest.
I decided to make the card into an easel card so used Crafters Companion linen card as it holds up really well. One half is straight easel & 2nd is twisted. I punched a border to the base & added glitter over it & then added some flowers & gems.
Dies used are Marianne & Joanna sheen the punch was Martha Stewart
Next job is make a box for it🙂 xxx
